Nation in Building...
Assessments are not just about Promotions, Employee Development or Recruiting the right person. At a micro level it's about building a profitable organization and at a macro level it's about building a nation...your comments please.
I am a bit follower of philosophy advocated by Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi ( Difficult to pronounce so just Mihaly is better) who says it is good to match challenging assignment with competency. So when we are doing an Assessment Center or Development Center we are in fact helping people make choices in order to find work that is fulfilling and what they love to do. We actually help people to add value to themselves. As a senior citizen this is the best one can do to take India, top of the world.
